Vulture Industries explore a gloomy musical landscape. Since the band formed in 2002, they’ve stood out in the Bergen music scene with they’re doomy, progressive and different approach to metal. Their sound is a unique mix of extreme, melodic, symphonic, industrial and slightly experimental metal.
Vulture Industries consists of current and former members of Sulphur, Black Hole Generator, Malice In Wonderland, Enslaved (session), Taake (session) and Syrach. Their debut album, “The Dystopia Journals”, was recorded and mixed between September 2006 and May 2007 by vocalist Bjørnar E. Nilsen (Helheim, Dead To This World, Sulphur, Deathcon etc.) at his Conclave & Earshot Studio, with the assistance of Herbrand Larsen and Arve Isdal (Enslaved). For the front cover, the band got an appearance from the highly regarded Norwegian actor Helge Jordal.
Some have compared the band with Arcturus, and others have mentioned bands like Solefald, Manes, The Provenance and Red Harvest. We at Dark Essence Records think you should decide for yourselves. We feel Vulture Industries is another band that follows the unique and groundbreaking spirit of Norwegian metal. With the album “The Dystopia Journals” you can expect something different, varied and unique. This album is an aural experience in itself!.
