Norwegian folk/prog collective Lumsk returns with Einsemda, a dark, emotional and deeply atmospheric new album based on selected poems by Tor Jonsson (1916-1951).
Following their acclaimed return after a long hiatus with Fremmede Toner, Lumsk have continued to refine their distinctive blend of progressive metal, folk rock and evocative Nordic storytelling. On Einsemda, the band moves even deeper into the emotional core of the material, shaping music that amplifies the tension, vulnerability, beauty and darkness of Jonsson’s poetry. Jonsson’s writing is known for its lyrical clarity, emotional intensity and stark contrasts between hope and despair, closeness and distance, life and death — a natural match for Lumsk’s powerful and nuanced sound.
The album was primarily recorded in the band members’ home studios, with vocals, organ, piano and additional guitars recorded at Autumnsongs Recording Studio. Together with Rhys Marsh, Espen W. Godø and Espen Hammer worked closely on the production and mixing of the album, resulting in a record the band feels captures both the intimacy and the weight of the material.

Pre-orders are shipped around one or two weeks before the release date.
EU: We are registered with the IOSS (Import one stop shop) portal in the European Union for reporting and paying EU VAT. All orders with a total goods value (excluding VAT) under the 150 € IOSS threshold, are processed through this system to simplify import procedures.
